the best part

My favorite part of the trip however was not one of the most popular tourist destinations, but a small showroom on the 8th floor of a nondescript building on 29th street. This is a photo of Habu Textiles sample wall.

Special thanks to the Yarn Harlot, I read about Habu on her blog. The wonderful staff here give you lots of time to look at and feel all the different yarns, and when you make your selections they bring the yarn to you from the mysterious "space behind the curtain". All the yarns were beautiful. My son was fascinated by the wool/stainless steel blend. It was hard to make a choice. In the end I couldn't resist the lace weight shropshire wool.
