Ida Louise

My grandmother, Ida Louise, died May 10, 1999. I still miss her everyday. I want to share this picture of her as a young woman in order to celebrate her long and full life. Ida is the one who got me interested in needlework. She did not knit, but she taught me crewel embroidery and crochet, how to make peanutbutter cookies, how to wax hardwood floors, how to laugh at myself, and what it felt like to be loved unconditionally.

Grandmas are the best and I'm glad you have fond memories of yours. Your toe looks great and I'm excited to see your button bands.
